Would You Surf A 100 Ft Wave?

Hey Reader, Would you surf a 100 ft wave? If you're anything like me the answer is "Hell no!" And yet, when I watch the videos of these surfers, I can't help but feel that, in may ways, Life is exactly that. The moment I said yes to stepping onto this planet, I was saying yes to the wave. I said yes to the ride. What I couldn't know for much of the past 62 years is that it wasn't my job to make the wave go where I wanted it to. That didn't stop me from trying. I blindly and stubbornly insisted on trying to use the force of my will, emotions, energy, and drive to push the wall of ocean in the direction I thought it should go. And, I wasn't alone in thinking that I should. Everywhere I looked, I saw others doing the same thing. It was commonly accepted that we're here to mold Life to our desires and designs. It's what smart, successful, worthy people do. It's why we're here. But, if you watch the surfers in the video, their entire focus is on staying centered, even as they're attuning to the power and movement of the wave. They don't turn to drive into it. They don't rail and rage against it. They allow it to take them where it wants them to go. That doesn't mean the rides are all fun or have a pleasant ending. Sometimes, even someone in harmony with Life can have the wave crash down upon them. And sometimes, this can end in pain, injury, or even death. But they still show up for the ride. Just like we did when we agreed to come here and be incarnated into form. And this is one of the things I love about relying on the Human Design system as a map of lived experience. It shows me the particular form and attributes that will either trip me up, or center and balance me. It even offers insights into why I chose this specific design and time to be alive. I can see into my purpose. And, I can rest in the assurance that because I did choose this design and this purpose... My only work here is to show up for and be present to the ride. The wave takes care of the rest. You, too, have a unique design and purpose. Your Life wave is also designed specifically for you. And it's possible to unravel the mystery of your Life. Not by changing who you are... Or by finally controlling Life... Rather, by uncovering the key elements that you can rely on for being centered and balanced. If you can relate to being someone who may have spent their time and energy yelling at and resisting the wave of their Life... Human Design can offer you a new way to see into the fractal patterns of your existence. And with that seeing, you discover a trustworthy way to experience your ride. So, when the 100 ft wave that is your Life is looming over and bearing down on you... Remember that your only task is to be present to the truth of your nature...
